I've been trying to archive sites from YTMND.com, which is now html5-based instead of flash. The user sites are so simple, but despite my best efforts I can't get them to work.
Why is this the case? I've even tried more advanced software like Offline Explorer but that couldn't capture them either.

Here's two sites to try:
https://spartafuntimes.ytmnd.com/ text, gif, audio
https://piratelol.ytmnd.com/ well-synced audio to the gif... at least initially

Sorry for the late response. Do you mean you would like to keep them interactive?

Don't worry, my response was even later. I think I had notifications disabled then, and this just came back to me.
Interactivity isn't something I would expect from SingleFileZ, but I was thinking more along the lines of hitting play then saving the page. So when saved with SingleFileZ and opened, it should play the already loaded media.

Since I'm not html savvy, is this more similar to trying to save a youtube video than saving video embedded directly on a page?

@snowbie I understand your need, it's quite an ambitious thing to implement actually and I wish I were brave enough to do so. However, what you describe already exists more or less, but these solutions are based on the WARC file format, cf. for example https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/webrecorder-archivewebpag/fpeoodllldobpkbkabpblcfaogecpndd. Note that I did not test this extension though.
