This is not a Ghostty bug. Ghostty uses macOS native tabs. koekeishiya/yabai#68 |
Interesting. I noticed that Terminal.app has the same behavior, but iTerm2 does not exhibit this. They must be doing something differently? |
Yes iTerm2 uses a custom tab bar, they hand draw and implement all behaviors. |

Hey there! I just noticed that Ghostty has some odd behavior when spawning new tabs using either yabai or aerospace. When I create a new tab, it treats each tab as if its two separate processes running and causes my window manager layout to get confused.
Here's an example of a single Ghostty instance with 3 tabs, which ideally would result in one large window with 3 tabs:
