Whisper doesn't work on all systems running Tero Subtitler

Tero Subtitler was launched within the last day or so in the form of an alpha intended for public exploration (the stable release has a tentative date of late July); its Audio to Text function uses whisper.cpp, but the lead developer and I became aware weeks ago that it would not run on certain systems, so I would like to ask if anyone could kindly offer assistance (I started a discussion).

I tried to compile it (using this) and Homebrew (using this) on my early-2009 Mac Pro running 10.11.6., but the process seemingly failed (happy to try again with your instruction, but I'm very rudimentary in Terminal!).
