bindings/go: how to use SetDuration / SetOffset?

What do the whisper.Context.SetDuration and SetOffset methods do, or what use case do they serve?

I looked for documentation or example usages and came up empty. Setting them to various values in my own test scripts always resulted in gibberish transcriptions.
