How to import a .whisper file with Swift?

I am using MacWhisper and I've seen some different apps out there advertising the ability to export and import .whisper files. I cannot find any detailed information on how one might import that file type into a program. I've worked on hundreds of files exporting them to the .whisper format however MacWhisper isn't available on every device and I want to write a program to interact with those files but cannot find any information on that.

I think I answered my own question it's just a file wrapper with a JSON, media file and a version file.
