Summary
Transfer repository ggerganov/ggml to ggml-org/ggml
When: 8-9 Feb
Location: https://github.com/ggml-org/ggml
Over the past 2 years, the
ggml
project has grown from a personal project to a big collaborative effort between hundreds of developers. It no longer makes sense to keep the project under my personal Github profile and therefore it is time to move it to a Github organization to represent that. The project will continue to be developed there as usual, along with otherggml
-related projects. The transfer of the repository will likely happen over the upcoming weekend (8-9 Feb). According to the documentation in https://docs.github.com/en/repositories/creating-and-managing-repositories/transferring-a-repository, the transfer should be pretty seamless. All
git
commands should continue to work as they do now since Github will automatically redirect them. But still, to avoid confusion, it is recommended to update your remote:The existing collaborators should be automatically transferred to the new repository.
