ATM (to my knowledge) Grav CMS stores media files within each postings folder. This means, if you reuse the same media, you need to reupload it and it is stored again in the new folder for that posting. You can of course upload media to your own folder and then link the media in the posting via but this is clunky and impractical if you post multiple times a day. But you can not select this media via the add media context in the posting editor (only upload is possible).
I would like to request a central storage for media. Give the upload media the additional option to get media from a local storage on the webserver (within the grav folder structure ie. ../user/media. The folder should be added once in the configuration via a simple relative/ absolute path variable.
This would allow for a simpel and quick way to reuse the same media, without having duplicates of the same file over and over.
