I updated my taiko version from 1.0.8 to 1.2.7, but when running the test case, I got the error below:

Yes, most probably it's a missing dependency.

Depending on the distribution you can try installing chromium using a package manager to get the right dependencies. For example in ubuntu sudo apt install -y chromium-browser
