It would be useful to be able to retrieve standardized (SPDX) license identifiers through pybif.
GBIF licenses are listed legal code urls, we would either need to port this, assuming there is no way to convert this using the api.

Can you clarify what exactly you want? From here https://spdx.org/licenses/ you want the value in the Identifier column or the Full name column, or both?
e.g. given http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/legalcode i think the Identifier is the most practical -> CC-BY-NC-4.0 in this case. What do you think?
This is relating to the occurrence search, licenses are included in the occurrence download.
GBIF does not interpret the media license so it cannot be implemented until GBIF standardize media licenses.
