Navigating in images gallery

When browsing in the images gallery having uploaded new 'pages' of thumbnails, if I look at one image and them want to go back to where I was in the list, the software takes me back to the top of the list (there may be several hundred images) and I have to start over. This wastes a lot of time and would be good to fix. Thanks

Thanks for the feedback - yes that can be annoying I agree.
We are working on a new interface https://hp-theme.gbif-staging.org/occurrence/search?view=GALLERY
where this is less of an issue as detail pages open in a drawer

For now on gbif.org you should probably just open occurrence detail pages in a new tab to avoid that issue (hold cmd/ctrl and click)
