BinUtils

It is specialized versions of methods for working with binary data. It were written cause:

  • MRI's #pack and #unpack seems to be slow
  • result of #pack is often appended to a string at the very next step.
  • usually we need to drop unpacked string head

Installation

Add this line to your application's Gemfile:

gem 'bin_utils'

And then execute:

$ bundle

Or install it yourself as:

$ gem install bin_utils

Usage

  require 'bin_utils'
