State Changes broken on iOS17 ?

in iOS17 you can load UIs but never change their states, while in the rest of the xplat project platforms everything runs smooth

Please provide more details. For bugs I always expect:

• a code snippet / optimally a project I can use to reproduce the issue
• all your versions (Avalonia Version, FuncUI Version, .NET Version, ...)

Otherwise it's just pointless for anyone to even look at this.

from looking at the sample you are using Avalonia version: 11.1.999-cibuild0042491-beta Have you tried it with 11.0.5/11.0.6 yet?

Both, but I need nightly now. Since to convert my software I need EF ComplexTypes, hence dotnet/efcore 8 as a minimal prerequisites…

in this sample I stripped everything to highlight my 3 problems.

1 - state doesn’t change on iOS17 simulator, on device I didn’t try
2 - Lottie isn’t loading AvaloniaResources, it’s properly included, but nothing is displayed, you can see on login.fs
3 - in doctors.fs you can clearly see how the focus doesn’t work and if it would, it does crash on dispose

PS: thanks, I try to make it look modern yet familiar with the previous software.

The following work for me:
dotnet: net8.0-ios
FuncUI: master / 1.1.0
Avalonia: 11.0.0

I can reproduce your bug on Avalonia 11.0.5, 11.0.4, 11.0.3, 11.0.2, 11.0.1.

Just tried 11.0.6 and it's also broken.

And the Lottie animation? does it show anything on 11.0.0 ?
My guess is that is has nothing to do with it but with the fact that the animation is embedded as an AvaloniaResource, which was untested

just in your example you mention opening Avalonia.iOS library which I don't have... is it deprecated or in another nuget?

Model building is not supported when publishing with NativeAOT. Use a compiled model.

Do you have any specific/unusual configuration? Like enabling native aot on mobile?

Nope, it's just the Avalonia 10.0.5 template: I didn't change anything from it, except switching to FuncUI

Could it be that it's Just EFCore8 not compatible with AOT under iOS ?
I never made it so far before, so I don't really know what's happening, I think the crash happens every time a view attempts to call EF
