Initially went with Ubuntu 22.04 LTS since I had Ansible playbooks for it laying around, and my priority was to tinker with Kubernetes clusters and CRDs.
A better fit would be Fedora CoreOS, and would require re-writing some ansible playbooks and using ingition and butane for vm configuration.
