To make oasis a sustainable project, it'd be nice to let people donate to it. The argument against this before I think has been that oasis has been too early in development, but oasis is becoming more and more people's daily driver now.
Simplify paying paid workers. For the current gigs we're gonna be paying people from the patchwork and patchbay OC's. And to know we could use that money I had to run around to a few different people and ask that we could use that money. And we're gonna have a similar coordination problem when we're getting to actually be paying people at the end of the gigs. If all the money for oasis dev was in one location it'd be a lot easier to coordinate this.
Is there a solution you'd like to recommend?
Open an opencollective for oasis, using the Open Source Collective as the fiscal host (recommended by @staltz). I believe @cinnamon-bun agreed this was a good idea. I tried doing this (in the spirit of doocracy) but you appear to need certain permissions in the fraction org on github to be able to apply for the Open Source Collective, so I think either @christianbundy has to do this or he has to give auth to someone else.
