Qemu + KVM + Docker + WSL interactions causing cast to fail

I'm trying to run the goldboot cast . command on a template from within a docker container running on wsl via docker desktop. Things are chugging along just fine until this step:

This is the output from investigating kvm support in the container:

Is it not possible to run this command with the Docker + WSL combo?

I don't run Windows, so hopefully someone can pitch in, but I did add --no-accel to disable KVM as a (slow) workaround.
