Is it possible to have an initial value for a choicesjs widget that isn't inside the choices list from the data url

here is my usecase:

I want to retain legacy data, but I don't want them to be selectable and visible in the choices list anymore

lets say the legacy value is 50 in my submission data, when I trigger the dropdown, there shouldn't be a 50 in the choices list.
