Prevent claude reseting the scroll position?

So my problem is that when claude re-draws anything in the terminal, it always forces the scroll position to the very bottom - so when I scroll up to read the message, but claude is not done generating yet, it always snaps me back to the bottom, and this happens even with the spinner/loader graphics thing, not just message output

The only way I've found to circumvent this is to highlight something in the terminal buffer and then scroll - but that's messy as I have to keep a selection on

You can type ctrl-q to enter normal mode (if you are not using zellij as backend)
