Smoke Leakage Through Door Cracks in FDS Model #15074

This case is very large and complex. If you are trying to figure out how to do something new with FDS, start with a simple case. If your issue is not having smoke flow through cracks you just need a small two room domain where one room has a fire and the wall between them has your crack inputs. You should also work with the current release as it is possible there has been a bug fixed in a more recent version. If with a simple case you cannot get it to work, then post that simple input file. |

Have you double checked that your VENTs have been properly applied? |

Also try running with the latest test release in case there is a bug that has been fixed as has already been suggested. |

Dear FDS Experts,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am currently running a case where a 2.3 MW fire has been modelled within a circulation passageway. The passageway is equipped with a mechanical supply and extract system. To prevent smoke spillage, fire-rated doors (Door 1 and Door 2) are programmed to close based on the smoke detection time.
In the model, localized top and bottom cracks at the doors have been defined. However, from the simulation results, we observed that smoke (and fresh air) does not appear to flow through these cracks. I tested the scenario (using FDS 6.8.0) both with and without the pressure zone approach, but the behaviour remains the same. In addition, the simulation crashes after approximately 700 seconds.
Would it be possible for someone to kindly review the attached FDS input file and advise on possible causes or solutions? For quick
reference, I have also included an image of the model.
Thank you in advance for your time and guidance.
