Sample battery fire model with FDS

'Battery fire' does not specify what aspect is important to account in the simulation. I would suggest starting from the objectives and investigate/filter down which parameters are needed to account/model.

I want to model fire spread from one battery module to another using the thermal runaway temperature. Then record the emissions from the battery fire based on the battery chemistry

For simpler methods, consider searching for SPREAD_RATE or IGNITION_TEMPERATURE in the FDS User's Guide. For more advanced approach, you can incorporate the kinetics of thermal decomposition. As for battery chemistry, the required level of detail is again unclear. I think that FDS is not commonly used for modeling complex chemical processes like those involved in batteries. While it's possible to define custom chemical species and reactions, accurately capturing reaction mechanisms and kinetics is extremely challenging due to limitations in spatial resolution, flame temperature, and other factors.
