Jared Tankel
Jared Tankel joined Mark Music & Media Law in the spring of 2015. Prior to joining the firm, Jared worked at an artist management company for several years, occupying many roles from legal to management to publisher and working with Grammy winning and nominated artists and producers.
An internationally touring musician and award-winning songwriter himself, Jared has an acute understanding of issues facing creative individuals and companies in the entertainment and new media industries. Jared continues to tour as bandleader for The Budos Band and oversees day-to-day operations for his company, Extraordinaire Music, a publishing company with credits on multiple top 100 Billboard singles and placements in several films and TV series.
Jared received his B.A. from Haverford College in 2002 where he majored in German and Philosophy and his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 2008. He recently moved to Los Angeles with his wife, Austen.
