Doc transcript pdf may extend beyond the page #578

For example, see http://dev.faustedition.net/transcript/diplomatic/2_III_H.15/2_III_H.15.pdf.
There may also be cases where the rendering is to wide to fit with the page’s width, although I don’t see one at first glance. What is the concept behind the current solution?

The rendered page SVGs each are in a container which is horizontally centered in the viewport, after the header line. There is a forced page break after each page SVG, but if an SVG is too large it will break to the next page.

The page related features of the chrome browser we use for rendering are limited …

I was afraid of something like this.
So this is probably a label:wontfix?

In theory, it would be possible to scale down all pages by a certain factor so most pages fit on the page.

The page sizes:
