I tried to work with version 3.5.7 and found the following: when viewing images, the address in the address bar changes. But on the site, the address is also used for ajax-navigation within the site. You can somehow turn it off, at least make an option to turn it off ? It turns out that when the site address changes, an automatic request is made through ajax - a mechanism on the site itself, and because of this, the site does not work correctly.
Interestingly, this does not happen with version 4 (via CDN).
