Problems with building React app with mini-css-extract-plugin-2.5.0

I created a new react project with npx create-react-app project-name. npm start was working fine. But when I tried to build the project, I got the following error:

PROJECT_PATH/node_modules/react-scripts/config/webpack.config.js:664
        new MiniCssExtractPlugin({
        ^

TypeError: MiniCssExtractPlugin is not a constructor
    at module.exports (PROJECT_PATH/node_modules/react-scripts/config/webpack.config.js:664:9)
    at Object.<anonymous> (PROJECT_PATH/node_modules/react-scripts/scripts/build.js:58:16)

I checked the package-lock.json and found that mini-css-extract-plugin was set to 2.5.0 while in my earlier working projects it was 2.4.6. I then did a npm install [email protected] and was now able to build the project.

Posting it here as others might have the same issue.
