This could be a comfort issue. For example, I've been pretty high up when shrinking myself from being a giant with a more horizontal arm movement. Falling from the sky at such a height sounds rather unpleasant unless you had a flight mode button to stop. We should do some testing, having a cool float animation while in the air (#16) and how it looks from a multiplayer perspective when users scale themselves are things to consider.
Sometimes when I scale myself huge I lose where the map is and when I shrink myself down I'll end up being way too high. In such cases gravity would seem great.
Open question: should we drop the model to the floor with gravity, when not scaling?
