We saw multiple cases were devices were added and were recording in the SDcard or the root partition.

We want to prevent that, unless there is an HDD, recordings should not be allowed.

A good suggestion from Riyadh is to keep file system grayed or disabled. Unless we check a box that said testing (dangerous) please don't use

If it helps, when making decisions like this, reference an NVR like Hikvision.
There is no possibility there to record to system partitions.
