The issue should be fixed. Run pip install --upgrade sports.py to upgrade to the latest version.

i even tried upgrading the package but that was not the solution

Unfortunately it looks like scorespro.com no longer allows requests to their XML data feed without some sort of paid plan. I'll keep the issue open in case I find a way to fix this issue. But is it stands, there is nothing I can do at the moment.

I just tried this module for the first time and cant get any results from any of the examples you listed on pypi. This being one of them :(
