In Inkscape we can use CTRL+L to simplify paths which is a good feature. We can configure that tool in the settings menu by threshold value like this:

still, the result of using the simplification is still kind of random. The result depends on how much items are selected at once.

To reduce the file size and the count of total nodes of paths while keeping a good quality, we need a better tool to smooth curves
