Hi!
I soldered and programmed a BlueSCSI earlier this week and spend some time trying it out on a Sun Sparcstation IPC.
I did not expect much as the IPX and Sparcstation 10 are listed as not working, but hey, that was tested a while back and perhaps it's more compatible now.
I loaded up a blank HDD image of 4GB and the SunOS 4.1.4 ISO and it works. Mostly.
The CDROM works and boots, and I can format the HDD but installing miniroot fails.
Now, as formatting and such works, I am not sure if this is a BlueSCSI problem or not. So I downloaded Debian 3 and tried that.
And that works perfectly! I got Debian 3 installed and I have all 6 CDs on the BlueSCSI as well for packages and such.
I would guess if I'd connect the original HDD running SunOS 4 to a computer and DD the image to the microSD card it probably works, or perhaps I am doing something wrong installing SunOS. But for Linux use, it works perfectly!
Thanks a ton, this Sparcstation IPC is now a LOT quieter and easier to use!
