This PR is intended to update the package version to v0.1.0 and to add a news section prior to a GH-only release.
This release is aimed at providing a convenient way to install a version of the package prior to changes coming in in PR #176.
This release is considered necessary to support the reproducibility of this report which used the package because the codebase underlying that report (reviewed internally by LSHTM team) would be subject to breaking changes when #176 is merged.
