Entities no longer available after HA restart #161
Comments
thanks for the update |
Sorry but I am not sure if you have read this correctly, there is still a problem. I may have expressed myself incomprehensibly. 🤔 I always have to restart the integration after a HA restart, even when the printer is on. It does not populate all values, just pages printed/scanned in my case. Ink levels are missing until I restart the integration manually. Thanks! |
Sorry, pls provide debug logs of the integration Thanks |
this is diagnostic file, i need logs in debug to see what is being loaded, |
Ok I enabled debugging and reproduced the problem. Where do I download the debug information? |
you can email it directly to me ([email protected]) or share a link to a place i can download it thanks |
Ok found it. Emailed it to you. This is after a restart of HA with the printer turned on. Manually reloading the integration brings my ink levels back up. |
great, waiting for the email (still didn't get it) just to make sure, when the printer is off and you will try to load the integration (restart HA / reload integration) - all entities will be unknown |
True, when printer is off and I restart the integration all entities are unknown. I resent the email from a second email account (iCloud), first one was from Gmail. |
PR #168 is available with the code to fix that bug, but requires more tests, thanks for all details and super quick feedback |
pls check v2.0.4 thanks |
Hi, thanks for the info. See the two files attached. HA was restarted with
printer off -> then turned printer on -> no values populated (waited for
5mins or so) -> reloaded integration -> all values are populated

With 2.0.4 on HA 2024.6.4 I still have the wrong behavior described:
|
Same for me with 2.0.4 |
working on fix for it |
Hi @elad-bar Any update on this? Thanks! |
Still happening on 2024.10. It would be great if the states could get restored after restart of HA. |
Thanks for version 2.0.2, where entity values are remembered even after the printer is offline!
I completely removed the integration and setup from scratch. First setup works flawlessly, values are remembered even after I switch off my printer.
But when I restart HA, values are not remembered (you said that, but still was better in 1.x version). And when I turn my printer on I expected all values to be populated again, but the ink levels did not return. Only pages printed/scanned.
Tried this 2 times now, same problem.
What could be the cause?
EDIT: I just reloaded the integration manually, then the entities show up. But why does this not work automatically?
