OSMC Pi gets "A transport exception occurred"
New Android phone gets "A transport exception occurred" on 1 of 2 OSMC Pi3 boxes
Dec 22, 2021
As of the Samsung S20 FE 5G upgrade to Android 12 today, RasPi Check on that device no longer works on any of my Pis. Still works fine on other Android devices. |
On Poco X3 Pro with android 12 (last update 2022-02-01) got the same error. Transport exception occurred |
Same error on android 12 moto edge 20 |
Any sight on a solution for this problem? On Poco X3 Pro with android 12 (last update 2022-02-01) got the same error. Transport exception occurred |
Any news on it? |
Din not worked out OK. Removed the app from my smart phone. Installed JuiceSSH. This works OK for me. |

I have RasPi Check working on three different tablets. With them, I successfully check my Pi1 and Pi3 devices running Pi OS, and two Pi3s running OSMC. The widgets work.
Got a new Samsung S20 FE 5G Android smartphone. RasPi Check works there as well for the two Pi OS boxes and one of the OSMC boxes. The other OSMC box returns "A transport exception occurred".
The smartphone connects to the latter box via JuiceSSH. I can do df and ps commands manually, no problem.
On two occasions, RasPi Check did work, but no other time.
The two OSMC Pi3s are set up identically other than the differing fixed local IP addresses. Both are on Ethernet. Both are up to date, software-wise.
How could RasPi Check get a transport error on the smartphone only, and not on the tablets?
