I've noticed that in the Connections tab sometimes the connections remain active despite the device has been disconnected for a long time. That is specially common when the device is not sending the BIRTH certificate. I think it happens mostly when the platform is restarted for maintenance tasks or when the network link is abruptly broken.
When this happens, reconnect with the same client ID is very unstable because and publishing or subscribing does not always work properly.
