Custom Mapping no longer works in 4.0.12

Hi,

we have a custom maven plugin with a custom TychoMapping as our project layout is slightly different from the default layout. With version 4.0.8.3 it worked without any issues. Starting with 4.0.9 our Mapping stopped to be registered by the build. The components.xml within the jar looks good. Does anyone have an idea what changed? Maybe a dependency which is now required?

Can you explain what feature you specifically referring to by "custom TychoMapping"?
In any case make sure latest maven (3.9.9) is used as well as you compile against latest Tycho and make sure (e.g. with a debugger) your mapping is actually picket up by maven.

Given that you have a root/pom.xml you can do there

<modules>
 <module>a</module>
 <module>b</module>
</modules>

then in the root/.mvn/maven.config

-Dtycho.pomless.aggregator.names=plugins,testplugins,features,testfeatures,a,b

should work.

Or you can of course place in a + b a pom with modules naming then you can omit a,b from the aggregator names.

Tried it, it only works if i add

<modules>
    <module>features</module>
    <module>plugins</module>
    <module>testfeatures</module>
    <module>testplugins</module>
</modules>

to the pom of a or b . Do you know if it's then possible to build with like only features and plugins if I don't want to build a product containing the test plugins?

Its a bit hard to give advice by some random fragments, I think the best would be to create an example project.
