Can we change recurrant event occurance series?

 item.save(update_fields=['required_attendees', 'optional_attendees', 'start', 'end', 'body', 'subject'],
                      send_meeting_invitations=SEND_ONLY_TO_CHANGED)

above changes the other fields
but can we change pattern.weekdays ?
I can build:

recurrence_pattern = RelativeMonthlyPattern(interval=meeting.interval, weekday=week_day,
                                                                week_number=by_day)

Will i be able to send and call item.save() ?

You should be able to set a new value for the CalendarItem.recurrence field just fine. The field expects a exchangelib.recurrence.Recurrence object.

Let me know if it doesn't work.

(Pdb) item.recurrence
Recurrence(pattern=WeeklyPattern(interval=1, weekdays=[6], first_day_of_week='Monday'), boundary=EndDatePattern(start=None, end=None))

avove is initial
then i have changes below params

(Pdb) item.recurrence.pattern.weekdays=[5,6]
(Pdb) item.recurrence.pattern.interval = 2

when i call save()
and item i call item.refresh()
the recurrent is still the old one

I cannot reproduce this. I tried:

print(master_item.recurrence)

master_item.recurrence.pattern.interval = 2
master_item.recurrence.boundary.number = 3
master_item.save()
print(master_item.recurrence)

master_item.refresh()
print(master_item.recurrence)

which correctly printed:

Pattern: Occurs every 1 day(s), Boundary: Starts on 2016-01-01 and occurs 4 time(s)
Pattern: Occurs every 2 day(s), Boundary: Starts on 2016-01-01 and occurs 3 time(s)
Pattern: Occurs every 2 day(s), Boundary: Starts on 2016-01-01 and occurs 3 time(s)

I also tested that the number of occurrences actually went from 4 to 3.

is it necessary to reform a new exchangelib.recurrence.Recurrence object?

Ok, so you have to set a start date for the boundary, otherwise the server only creates a single occurrence. Apart from that, it works fine for me:

start = datetime.datetime(2016, 1, 1, 8, tzinfo=account.default_timezone)
master_item = CalendarItem(
    recurrence=Recurrence(
        pattern=WeeklyPattern(interval=1, weekdays=[6], first_day_of_week='Monday'),
        start=start.date(),
        end=None,
    ),
    ...
)
print(master_item.recurrence)
master_item.recurrence.pattern.weekdays=[5,6,7]
master_item.recurrence.pattern.interval = 2
master_item.save()
print(master_item.recurrence)
master_item.refresh()
print(master_item.recurrence)

which correctly prints:

Pattern: Occurs on weekdays Saturday of every 1 week(s) where the first day of the week is Monday, Boundary: Starts on 2016-01-02
Pattern: Occurs on weekdays Friday, Saturday, Sunday of every 2 week(s) where the first day of the week is Monday, Boundary: Starts on 2016-01-02
Pattern: Occurs on weekdays Sunday, Friday, Saturday of every 2 week(s) where the first day of the week is Monday, Boundary: Starts on 2016-01-02

I also tested that the number of weekly occurrences actually changed.
