node 26 was released yesterday!!!! and it adds support for Temporal. we should probably guide people to this api as a replacement of all the date libraries out there (ms, date-fns, etc)

it's also supported in chrome 144+ and firefox 139+

exciting! I imagine documenting the replacement could get quite long so we can just touch up on what we think are the most common uses for a library like date-fns.

With ms there are quite a few libraries (e.g.), do you know what the temporal replacement code would be? Perhaps that can be a snippet replacement

its also worth doing some research beforehand to find which of these libraries is going to rework on top of temporal, if any.

some may continue existing but on top of temporal for a more customised/easier API i imagine

agree with @43081j if you are fully removing the package you may have case that look like this change which is not a huge win
