Seems the app would stop working by itself after some uptime. Noticing that, have to exit and restart the app manually to get it functioning properly. This has happened for many times, and I'm not sure how is this triggered. I'm wondering if there is any way (like finding the log of the app) to help locate the problem.

Also, I encountered the same issue with #45 .

I'm now on macOS 10.15.3 Catalina.

Thanks for the contribution, I really like this app 😄 .

I am having same problem.

To start app again I need to kill process called com.dteoh.SlowQuitAppsLauncher. Then applications restarts and runs normally until same issue repeats and I have to manually kill it again.

This was happening on Mojave I am now on Catalina.
Running latest version.

After latest update I wasn't able to kill application to start it again. This app no longer works for me.
I had to uninstall it.

However I had found much easier solution which is to simply bind quit application for different keys. More info here : https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/151264/warn-before-quitting-in-safari

For me this solution works since I am only concerned about not to quit accidentally Safari. Hope this helps others...

I have just installed it on Catalina 10.15.4 via brew and it doesn't seem to work - I have also manually added it into the accessibility allowed apps. Any ideas @dteoh ?

Have you tried the "Right click to open" method? AFAIK, the latest Catalina considers all unsigned apps to be malware... You have to "right click to open" several times before the OS will start running the app.

I had to open the app manually and then add to mac's exception list. Now it's working as expected. Thanks @dteoh

@dteoh experiencing the same. It looks like after some time (a couple of days?) the app stops working, and it's not possible to restart it as usual.

Thanks for the amazing job.

Same here. It would be fine to kill and restart but it seems I have to restart my entire computer to get it working again which means I have to quit all apps defeating the purpose.

I can't use Activity Monitor to kill it as something about it persists through it quitting.

@drod3763 Have you tried using the terminal and typed in "killall SlowQuitApps" (without quotes) to kill it? I find that worked for me when trying to restart it.

+1 to @drod3763 's problems for me, 'killall SlowQuitApps' used to work for me but since switching to 16" MBP I have to restart the computer to kill SlowQuitApps. Doesn't work through Activity Monitor or terminal

same issue here. There's also SlowQuitAppsLauncher between processes, you can kill that along the actual app and then run it and it works then. Hope for a fix 🤞

I use pkill SlowQuit and that does the job, but I find myself having to do it so often it's simply annoying.
