Just trying out this solution (per your blog https://www.davd.eu/byecloud-firefox-sync-server/), but upon running docker-compose, it always seems to "Failed building wheel for xxx" (the error appears a few times - for distribute, for cryptography, cffi). Ultimately gcc fails, then "ERROR: Service 'ffsync' failed to build."
Any idea on how to get it up and running? The setup seems super straightforward, so not sure why this may be popping up :)
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the report. Actually I'm having the same problem here. It seems to fail now with the latest ffsync version, sadly I've no clue what this problem is about. I'll try to fix this in the next days. But now that there's a official Docker image from Mozilla https://github.com/mozilla-services/syncserver (which you found on your own already according to /r/selfhosted ;-)) I think this repository is obsolete.
I'm actually trying out https://github.com/crazy-max now, as it also bundles its own proxy w/ auto lets-encrypt. Have gotten a bit farther than with this one, but still not quite all the way there ;)
