@modulexcite Your additions made it so the target directory was indexed every time you did a search. I put in the $theIndex variable to fix for the moment. Also, the status bar about the # of hits does not updated correctly after the first time you search for text.

The changes you made fixed the problem you mentioned, I don't think there is anything else that needs to be changed with that. I was thinking, perhaps we should update the module to store the lucene index to the disk and only index files that have been changed using the time-stamp on the files in the directory that's being searched. IMHO, this might improve the performance although I haven't done any tests on this currently.
