Show elevation at all locations on the map

Is it possible to parse the data in the HGT hillshading files to make the Cruiser map "elevation aware"?
So any touch on the map produces not only the Lat/Lon, but also the Elevation for use as a "how high is that road" or when placing a Favorite.

I find this information very useful, and have been a little spoiled with BaseCamp offering real-time Lat/Lon+Elevation as I move my mouse.

It is also possible to request BRouter (offline) data for elevation information.
But as BRouter stores the road network, it may not be available everywhere.

@devemux86 Yes, that's why I have all the HGTs on my computer - There's an extra couple of parameters in the mkgmap command that turns a basic map into a hill-shaded map with elevation data (before vs after example).

Next version will show the elevation at all available locations on the map using the BRouter (offline) data:

Also note that we are limited by the operating system.
Labels can only contain text (or unicode), not images.

My suggestion is something simple like with a hyphen:
15.3 km, 1:13 - 15 km, 1:11

At waypoints where we display distance/time to the previous/next via point and the start/end,
we can use parentheses or other punctuation mark:
(5.2 km, 0:18 - 7.8 km, 0:25)
15.3 km, 1:13 - 15 km, 1:11

Perhaps square-brackets as the delimiter?

<> are special characters in html/xml, so they can cause problems.
