To say Improved is to say nothing! 😀 This is a rocket! It exceeded all my expectations and hopes. A quick test on a 100 km route showed a six-fold acceleration! The four alternatives were calculated to take 3 minutes, now it's just... 30 seconds 🚀 Absolutely amazing. Thanks a lot. This is a huge step forward 👍 Edit: On my phone with Snapdragon 888, this time is only 12 seconds. Truly impressive 😳 |

For me it is 10% faster: Qualcom 855 Qualcom 888 I wonder why it ist 6 times faster for Ciutnik? Another advantage of 3.037b1 is, that I can calculate a route with a length of 600km without a shaping point (i dont know where is the limit). With Cruiser 3.036 I had problems tith routes longer than 260km to calculate with Brouter offline. P.S. |

Well, I also wonder how this is possible! I only achieved this result on one of my three devices. On the other two, I admit, the difference is not that spectacular. But still clearly noticeable. You can see that the processor/memory/system combination has a big impact on this - which is obvious 🙂 |

Note: the longer the route or the more alternatives, the greater the improvement in calculation time. @Ciutnik mentioned using 4 alternatives? This is around 4 |

In the map download menu there is now the back arrow but no "X" to leave completely. In other menus there are both options. Maybe you should introduce arrow and X in all menus and submenus? |

I did not add buttons there to not make the menu too long, but I can try it.
If you mean the app settings, they should be handled in their own way.

Show routes on the map from saved routes takes much longer than before. Loading it the 2nd time was quicker, so it's maybe not a problem. |

"before": what version? "show routes on the map": the route menu "Show on map" and show the Route or the Track? Does it happen with all route or very long routes? |

before: b2, now b3 1st time: it took long, yes, it was a complex route. Then I have loaded another route via show on map, this was quicker and then again the first complex one which also was quicker then. Now I have closed Cruiser and wanted to try again and many of my routes disappeared.
I had 8 routes in the RdGA folder and several other folders. I have a backup, but it is already more then a week old and I have made recent changes already. |

B3 is a very dangerous version. It destroys all the routes. Even after importing from zip file it deletes and makes a mess with the saved folders and routes. DO NOT INSTALL |

ALSO B2 does it wrong. I have reinstalled b2, then imported the routes.zip file, deleted the duplicates which were created after import, but then when leaving the menu, all imports had been deleted again. I guess it is when the back button is used. |

Correctly, but not deleted as they were never saved. Save is only done with the OK button. The latest version have the back button in the favorites / routes / tracks.

The BACK button should either ask if the changes should be saved before leaving the menu OR should SAVE IT AUTOMATICALLY. If the user doesn't want to save the changes, the he/she can use the CANCEL button. BACK should not just drop all changes to my opinion. |

I would say yes, but nevertheless the .B3 has deleted some folders without any changing. It made 1 folder completely empty and deleted 2 more folders. |

Save it automatically is a good idea. I have lost my changes many times because I forgot the OK button. To 99% I want to save my changes. In the 1% I want to quit without changes I can use the cancel button. |

@kds112 this world.map is in the Mapsforge server. All providers (OpenAndroMaps, Freizeitkarte) can create and provide a world map. It needs improvements. If you look at its date, I created it in 2016! |

Screen lock is only used in navigation or follow. The other tools - except GPS recording - are not so popular. Screen lock, favorites and other actions during navigation could be implemented differently: |

Screen lock is indeed only necessary in bad weather conditions while you navigate (follow) right. The screen lock button is in the correct place behind the tools button. Higher up in the menu is not desirable to prevent you accidentally trigger it too soon in normal operations. And if you prefer a symmetrical tool button panel, you can additionally add the Voice test tool in it. _Anyway I notice from the many previous tests sets in the end I think all this matters very little. A wish I have is that the button panels that are active and have a longpush function are recognisable._ |

Was going to report the Navigation/Simulate "empty route" on a long-press bug, but see I've been beaten to it! I do see some odd button graphics when loading a route and then attempting to start it from my location: |

It's funny because it didn't happen the next time I tried it, but now it happens most of the time, the white bars scroll with the buttons so they seem to be drawn as part of the actual button. Kinda odd. I exported my profile, attached. I noticed that there does exist a last-known GPS position, which I've edited. It may be worth noting that profile exports posted here "as is" may contain user's actual location! I have a few % increases for the Navigation Panels and on-screen Buttons. |

Since b15 I have sporadic crashes when I start a navigation. With b13 everything was fine. B14 i did not install It doesn't happen with all routes, so I'll attach a route and my profile. Testroute I think something is wrong in my car profile: I hope you can reproduce the error with my profile |

@r11d11 thanks for the report. This seems similar to the report above. Your car and mountain bike profiles have nearby POI enabled. This will be fixed in the next Cruiser update. |

@devemux86 Hmmm. OK - the first time I perform the "Start Route" action, I get the white lines. I then exit the "Recalculate route" waypoint dialog and attempted to re-start navigation - NO lines. Now I repeat the process by tapping the Navigate button and cannot replicate the issue with any rhythm - Sometime they are there, sometimes they are not. I appreciate that this isn't the kind of festive cheer you were hoping for! |

In Beta20, I cannot import (or update) my Waypoint GPX (~830 items) as exported from BaseCamp. It simply reverts back to the map. Rolled-back to Beta19 and it works fine 😕 |

@devemux86 Sorry, I thought I was clear when I said "Waypoint group", which is not a Cruiser term per-se! A Favorite Group, all my orange stars of fuel, photo, rest stops etc. 💡 Just re-installed the Beta20 and it's working fine now, tested with a couple of smaller Favourite GPX groups, too. After deleting a small (~130) group of items, I created it afresh by setting the color and icon, importing the GPX contents and clicking the "disk" icon to save it. Although the group saved, the icon color+type reverted to default. Tried this a 2nd time and got the same result - it seems that the "Update Group" resets the icon/color settings turning my green drawing-pin back to an orange star. |

The imported GPX does not contain icon / color data? So the "Update" resets the group appearance. We can improve this: if the GPX does not contain appearance data, the group should remain unchanged. |

I guess so, unless you want to tell me that you made a very small change to the import routine that I mysteriously triggered and now can't replicate 😃
I think this is the better approach - to leave it "as is" unless the file contains a specific parameter to override it. Thank you for your efforts with the app 🎅 |

That looks very nice! 👍 One thing I noticed with b21 (unfortunately I can't tell 100% if this happened with previous versions also but I don't think so): when simulating the navigation, the route drawn on the map does not (anymore) smoothly follow the real course of the underlying streets, but is somehow "square"...
