Cannot get volar working within ALE

Basically the title. Based on this PR it looks like Volar support was added with LSP support, but when I open Vue files I do not actually get any LSP functionality. For example, ALEHover or ALEGoToDefinition both do nothing.

Is there something I am missing or setting up incorrectly?
