Slow... Unbearably slow and unusable; help?

I've been using ALE for a long time now and only since I started using TypeScript + .tsx files has the linting and fixing gotten so unbearably slow (on the order of several seconds) that I can't use it anymore. It's forced me to use VSCode with the VIM extension, which I still don't like.

I'm using the eslint_d accessory, but it seems to have no effect...
