I don't have the expertise to integrate libraw but I would very much like dlib to work with raw images. I've searched the documentation, past issues, and google and did not see any examples or past requests. I don't know the scope of what it would take to integrate libraw, so perhaps it's been tried or it's too much work. I just wanted to humbly suggest it as a feature. Also wanted to add a quick thank you to all the contributors. This is a wonderful project that's made my life a lot easier.

While converting is a possibility, that means duplicating a lot of images (about 20k). For some background on this, I shoot a variety of athletes at sporting events. New events add anywhere from 1-3k photos. One of the most arduous tasks is tagging/organizing all the photos after an event. I like to work with raw images because they provide a higher bit depth and non-destructive adjustments, so just having the camera save straight to jpg is not an option. I think a lot of photographers would enjoy the ability to process raw images. Thanks for your comment and consideration.
