Help with PC Engine and BlueRetro

I got the https://github.com/pmgducati/Blue-Retro-AIO-Units parts and I made a BlueRetro receiver, I flashed the latest firmware.

I then got a PC Engine PCB and it's not working, the blue LED is flashing rapidly, not like a slow pulse like I would expect and the PCB is powered by the console. The really weird thing is that if I press the boot button or the other button it controls the PC engine. If I don't connect the controller board, it broadcasts Bluetooth and I can connect okay to configure it via my PC.

I have tried two different cables, pinned both of them out and soldered to the correct pads and it's still not working, anyone got any ideas? I've got a video of the light ans it's attached.

I have got a case for it and it will go in but I just wanted a quick test.
