I think you bit off a bit more than you could chew with this one. It's a good thing you described the process so well or I wouldnt have (been able to) given you credit for all your work.

The end result is interesting but would def. require more analysis before the patterns can be explained. For instance, defauting is much more common for low incomes for obvious reasons and immigrants often end up in low income.
