Is it possible to WaitFor an event that the EventKey can be changed programmatically?

Is it possible to WaitFor an event that the EventKey is a property value in the workflow model and can be set during execution of the some steps? In other words; I would like to WaitFor an event that the EventKey is a property in the workflow data and the initial value is null however that property value will be set later and whatever is set to the workflow could subscribe to the event with the updated event key value.
