Contributing to Jetta

General

  • Search before filing an issue or pull request
  • Feel free to take a try at FUTURE.md
  • Contributions should follow our git branching model
  • Create tests for new features.
    • If you need help we can work through this during the PR process, but it will take additional time.
  • When it comes to performance vs readability the following order is preferred:
    • performance gains in an order of magnitude
    • code readability (including modern syntax)
  • Run tests before making proposed changes (we use pre-commit to automate this step)
  • Update CHANGELOG.md
    • no need to worry about the version header (1.0.0, 1.2.1, etc.) as this will be determined after collectively reviewing all of the pending commits to master
  • Add yourself to the contributors section in the package.json, if you'd like.
  • You must agree to the Developer's Certificate of Origin (found below).
