I was interested in using PDF.js to preview pdfs inline.
The issue at the time was that I couldn't load the pdf from s3 due to cross domain issues, I believe s3 supports CORS now, so it should be possible... But it was also just an idea of mine that doesn't really add a whole lot of value.

Feature: PDF.js viewer
  As the creator of CSCU Library
  So that I can experiment with PDF.js and look fancy
  I should be able to view pdfs using PDF.js
