I really like this idea! 🦆 However, as #3 indicates, the messages vanish as users focus view on other panels. It will be super helpful if ddb can keep the messages in a local file and show the dialogue every time users open the side panel. Moreover, there may be a clear button for users to manually clear the dialogues.

Thanks for the feedback. For now, chat history will persist when switching panes but will be reset when Codespace reloads.

Hi @rongxin-liu, thanks for the quick response! I understand taking notes might not be the objective of this extension, but I find it super helpful to have a side panel to write down something quick and have a look later when I open the VSC. Looking forward to more features of ddb! 🚀

Hi @rongxin-liu , I think a command such as /ddb clear is better than reload every time.

I've already done that on my own VSC.

If you wish to, I can give my code here or open a PR tomorrow.
