I've recently encountered this problem and fixed it temporarily in korcankaraokcu/PINCE@375f7af

What do you think is the best, fixing the bug temporarily or waiting for gdb to fix it? Apparently, the bug is around since 2008

This issue apparently has been fixed in the newer MI versions
https://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=9659#c22
